I put my hand in the mouth of a rather unresponsive lion

Me teasing a classical statue in the Ringling Museum in Sarasota

Me, my father, and my brother under a Banyan tree in Sarasota

I stand at the threshhold of the sea

Me as a kid, laughing goofily with Isaac Asimov. Yep, that's me without facial hair.

My family during a cruise to Bermuda, vacation in 1982--I appear here without facial hair

Hannukah with my mother and friends of the family

My Bar Mitzvah. Another rare "sans beard" photo. Notables: my grandfather (zadeh), now deceased (in a wheelchair in the photograph). As a teenager he ran away from home and joined the Canadian army, fighting in World War I under the name Charles Brown (I believe he was known as Brownie for many years after that.) Always the underachiever, he finally made his parents proud by bringing home some dirt from Israel--that way, they said, they could be buried in a bit of the promised land. (People never seem to be too rational about the Middle East!) Another notable: my mother's Uncle Semore, now deceased. As a child he met Trotsky, and he waited 27 years to marry his wife (whose husband while he was waiting was terminally ill), who was killed a few years later in a car accident. The first row includes my cousin Elizabeth, who now has a baby!

Another Bar Mitzvah picture, this one of just me

Sixth grade class photo

In the back row with the Adidas shirt: Bill Corney. Click here to search for Bill Corney/Paris Hilton videos.
